Instructions for Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) and
USFK Theatre Specific Required Training
The theater specific required training that arriving personnel and units assigned to, rotating to, or in temporary duty status to USFK must complete prior to deployment to the Republic of Korea (ROK) in accordance with USFK REG 350-2
- Recommend you print for ease of reference -
1. Go to http://jko.jfcom.mil.
2. If you already have an AKO or DKO account, click the "Enter JKO" button and skip steps 3 through 5 and continue with step 6 below.
3. If you do not have an account, select the "Sponsored" button under "New to JKO?" [takes you to the Account Registration form]
4. Complete and submit the form. Important: Type joint.training as your ARMY Sponsor (type in exactly joint.training).
5. You will receive two email notifications. The first indicates sponsor ("joint.training") approval of the account. The second indicates AKO/DKO approval. Your account is not active until you receive the second email. Follow the instructions provided to log in.
6. Log-in takes you either to the AKO or the JKO home page depending on how you accessed the log-in page. If taken to the AKO home page, select "Joint Knowledge Online" under "DoD Links" along the left side of the page.
7. On the JKO home page, select the "Take Courses" button.
8. You will be taken to the JKO Learning Management System (LMS) site (see example below). Maximize the window if required. Click-on "Enrollment" and then select "Browse Courses".
9. Click inside the "Enroll" box located to the left of the course title you wish to enroll in. A checkmark appears in the box.
10. After you have finished selecting your courses, click the "Enroll" button at the bottom of the menu.
11. Your "Enrollment Results" will pop-up. Click "View Course" button to go to the next screen.
12. Select "Launch Course" to proceed.
